Our Story
JACS was registered in August 2023, establishing a foundation focused on senior care in Ottery and surrounding areas. The Centre is built on principles of togetherness, love, and compassion to reduce senior isolation.

Mission & Values
Every activity, programme, and interaction is shaped by our three core values: Togetherness, Love, and Compassion.
- TTogetherness
Building a sense of belonging through shared meals and conversations.
- LLove
Treating each senior with warmth, patience, and sincere care.
- CCompassion
Recognising and responding to the emotional needs of our seniors.
...Where it all started...
A very long time ago, while working as a registered nurse in the community and witnessing daily how seniors could do with some company, support, fun and activities that will bring them joy—from arts and crafts to mild exercises and social outings.
I believe God gave me this dream to provide care, promote independence, add some fun and spice to the day, and arrange outings to the beach and beyond. The aim is to create a safe, nurturing space where seniors can enhance their quality of life and families gain peace of mind.
This dream was not just to fulfil my passion for helping others and making a positive impact, but also to honour my dear parents—James and Anne—from there the name.
To God be the glory.
Yours in Christ,
Florette Ferndale
